Find and flag mines that are concealed on the board. The first player to flag more than half of the mines wins. There are a total of 51 mines, so to win you will have to flag 26 of them before your buddy does. |
|
Your goal is to find mines. Click your left mouse button on a square to see if a mine is there. If a mine is there it will be revealed and your colored flag will be planted on it. You will then get another turn. If the square does not contain a mine, your turn will be over. |

| Some of the squares you uncover will contain a number. The number indicates how many mines are hidden in the squares that surround the numbered one. |

| If the square you click is empty it will be uncovered. Any adjacent empty squares will also be uncovered. This can sometimes have a cascading effect, causing a large area of the board to be uncovered with one click. Squares that contain mines will always remain covered until you click on them directly. |

The bomb button is active only when you have fewer points than your buddy. The bomb can be used only once per game. Click on the bomb button and your cursor will be highlighted with an area that is five squares high by five squares wide.
To use the bomb, select the area on the board you wish to clear and then click your left mouse button. Any mines that are revealed are marked with your flags. Empty spaces are cleared as normal. After using the bomb, your turn will be over. |

The game will end when either you or your buddy flags 26 mines. The overall score will be displayed and you will be able to review the board as it was at the end of the game. If you want to end the game early, you can click the Resign button. By clicking Resign you will forfeit the game and it will be counted as a loss. |

Use your left mouse button to click on squares on the game board. This will either reveal and flag mines or uncover empty squares. To the left of the game board is a section showing the players' names and the flag color they control. It also shows whose turn it is. A counter indicates how many mines remain hidden, as well as how many mines each player has flagged. |
| A bomb button is located in the player area. Left-click on the bomb button (which is only active if you have fewer points than your buddy), and then left-click again on the board to uncover an area five squares high by five squares wide. If you have selected the bomb and then decide you do not want to use it, left-click on the bomb button again to deactivate it. You only get to use the bomb once per game. |
| You can control the sound in the game with the speaker button located below the game board and to the left of the Help button. Click the button once to mute the sound, and click it again to turn the sound back on. |

Each player receives one point for each mine they flagged. The first player to flag 26 mines wins the game. The game will be counted as either a win or a loss for each player. |
